Cockapoo Painting Phase Two

I started the underpainting for Grover’s portrait using a stiff hog bristled brush to try to set up that soft, fluffy quality a cockapoo’s fur has. It was also important that I capture the red-gold sunset lighting that made Grover’s apricot hair look so pretty. I’m keeping my warmer colors on the lit side, and the cooler colors in the shadows.
