Schnauzer Portrait Continues

Sassy’s portrait is starting to come together as I layer in the fur stroke by stroke. Her fur has an almost luminous silvery quality that I hope to capture. I use a combination of carbon black, pthalo blue and titanium white in the gray areas–and burnt umber along with it where the fur shades into browns. This kind of fur is loads of fun to paint!
