I finished up my painting of Grover by refining the textures on fur and sand. My goal was to convey the feeling of the end of the day by showing the warmth of the setting sun on his fur.

Oh my!! No one had better ever tell me again that oils are superior to acrylics. They’d have to prove it to me by painting this same puppy and make look more realistic, which I don’t think could be done!!
