My Havanese Pet Portrait Continues
I’m enjoying working on Stella’s portrait. I’ve got a good photo to work from and it’s nice and clear. She’s got particularly pretty eyes and I’ve tried to capture their liquid and reflective quality.
Havanese fur can vary from dog to dog–some dogs have a softer wavier fur than others do. You can see that Stella’s facial hair is smoother than what will be the curlier hair on her paws. I often have to use differ types of paint brushes to capture this difference–scrubby bristly ones for the wavier fur and soft-bristled pointed ones for the smoother hairs.
